Alzheimer’s Daycare Services (CAPS)
The Community Assistance Program for Seniors (CAPS) is an Alzheimer’s daycare center that provides socialization and stimulation for persons living with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and stroke. Family caregivers benefit from the respite, support, and consultation available. CAPS is designated as an Alzheimer’s Day Care and Resource Center (ADCRC) by the California Department of Aging.
SERVICES OFFERED
- Daily activities designed to enhance physical and emotional well-being, for example: music, arts and crafts, discussion of current events, physical exercise, and gardening.
- Transportation.
- Nutritious lunches.
- Group therapy for patients and caregivers.
- Psychological assessments of changes.
- Consultation for caregivers.

Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Pasadena/West Covina
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?
Persons who are exhibiting signs of cognitive impairment (e.g., forgetfulness, confusion, disorientation) may be eligible.
HOW DO I PAY?
Fees vary on the type and amount of services selected. Scholarship assistance is available to those who qualify.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
Contact the nearest CAPS location for an initial free consultation. The CAPS program director will meet with the impaired adult and caregiver to evaluate appropriateness for the program.
